I honestly did the program because it was cheap since you don't pay per course. Another 1/3 probably end up taking a break or branch away from accounting. By the end of the 2nd year my guess is 1/3 of the people in the program will have dropped out. You are block scheduled, so you can't pick and choose your schedule. You will take anywhere from 8-10 courses per semester (not per year). I recently completed the program at BCIT. The other option is to just continue completing a degree through someone like UBC but you'll have to contact them about transfer credits, etc. The partnership with LU allows for students in the CGA program to complete the B.Com concurrently. Typically college diploma students will do the Laurentian University online B.Comm degree option in partnership with the CGA program. Like mentioned above, you have the ability to complete the degree as an exit requirement of the CGA program. In bcit they dont allow outside students in degree program only those who got accounting diploma at bcit can get in. While taking part time studies to get bba degree.Īlso is it possible that you get a diploma at bcit and then continue part time studies at ubc to get degree?how much time it takes ? at bcit part time takes 2 years So my plan is to complete diploma there and get a job.and also apply for cga.
